Collection: Champagne & Sparkling

Sparkling wine encompasses a variety of effervescent wines, with Champagne and Prosecco being among the most renowned types. Champagne, originating from the Champagne region of France, is known for its rigorous production method called "Méthode Champenoise," which involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle to create its signature bubbles. This process results in a complex, refined flavor profile often marked by notes of apple, pear, and brioche. Prosecco, hailing from the Veneto region of Italy, is typically produced using the "Charmat" method, where the secondary fermentation occurs in large stainless steel tanks, resulting in a lighter, fruitier taste with notes of green apple, melon, and honeysuckle. Other notable sparkling wines include Spanish Cava, made in a similar method to Champagne but generally more affordable, and Italian Franciacorta, which also uses traditional methods and offers a high-quality alternative to Champagne.
